Every heart has a story worth telling, and poetry is a beautiful way to bring those stories to life. Whether it’s a celebration of love, a tribute to loss, a testament of faith, or a simple expression of life’s tender moments, your custom poem will capture your emotions and memories in a way no ordinary words can.

How It Works

1. Share your story

Start by filling out the Request Form. Tell me who the poem is for, the occasion (if any), and the feelings or message you want to express. You’ll also have the option to share favorite details, memories, imagery, Scripture or themes you’d like included.

2. Pick your package

Select the package that best fits your needs. Choose a border (if any) and a font that you like. I also do handwritten in print or cursive for an additional fee.

3. Confirmation & Payment

If I feel we will be a good fit, I will confirm your request and send you an invoice to the email you provide.

Payment is due in full before I begin writing.

4. Writing begins

Once payment is received, I’ll begin writing your poem. Because I put so much thought and care into your poem, please allow up to 4 weeks. The longer the piece, the more time it will take to complete.

Rush order is available for an additional fee, or you can save 15% by choosing the no-rush option.

5. Review the first draft

My goal is to make this piece your own. A first draft (PDF) will be sent to your email to be sure it meets your vision. Please give any feedback you’d like so I can adjust as needed.

After the first draft, I offer limited revisions at no cost based on the length to make sure it’s exactly what you want. After that, any additional changes may require a small fee. I will work with you until you’re completely satisfied with your poem.

6. Receive your completed poem

Your finished poem (PDF) will be sent to your email. If you requested a handwritten copy, it will be mailed shortly after your final approval.

Additional Info

To ensure clarity and help you feel confident when ordering custom poetry from Ink Meadows, here are a few important details about how I work and what you can expect:

All Sales Are Final

Because the poem is personalized just for you, I’m not able to offer refunds or exchanges once you’ve received the first draft.

If you need to cancel before the first draft has been delivered, I will refund 50% of your payment. The remaining 50% is retained to cover the time and effort already invested in beginning your poem.

If for any reason I am unable to complete your poem, you will receive a full refund.

Copyright & Usage Rights

All custom poems are protected under copyright. That means:

You are free to print, share, frame, or gift your poem for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not publish, alter, or sell the poem without written permission.
If you’d like to use your poem for a business, website, publication, or product, please contact me to discuss licensing.

Sharing & Privacy

Because I own each poem, I reserve the right to share them on my website, portfolio, and/or social media for promotional use. All names and identifying details will be removed to respect your privacy.

However, if you prefer your poem not be shared at all, just let me know at the time of your order and I will keep it entirely private.

Signature & Branding

All digital poems will include a small Ink Meadows logo at the bottom. Handwritten poems will have a signature at the bottom. This:

Helps others find their way to personalized poetry

If you’d like a copy without branding or signature, just ask. I’m happy to accommodate most requests.
